Dream Kid Selah got the VIP treatment this past weekend at the Bank of America Roval 400! This was a dream come true for the adorable 7 year old NASCAR super fan. On Friday evening, she kicked off her weekend in style thanks to a ride from Five Star Limo. This was only the beginning of plenty of surprises to come. The limo took Selah and her family to a fully stocked and decorated condo overlooking the Charlotte Motor Speedway generously donated for the weekend by the Propst Family and Propst Brothers Distribution. Selah’s face lit up when she saw where she would be spending the next few days. Because of the packed weekend ahead, Selah’s first night was spent relaxing in the condo and enjoying her favorite meal, decadent mac and cheese, provided by Jim and Nick’s Barbeque.
Saturday morning was the start of Selah’s true NASCAR experience, and it began promptly at 9:30 am! The Charlotte Motor Speedway made sure she got a behind the scenes look at the track during race weekend. She got to watch practice from driver Ryan Reed’s hauler, sit in a race car, get a VIP view of the Xfinity Series race, and meet the drivers who she idolizes! She arrived at the track with a bare helmet that was soon covered in signatures thanks to Chris Buescher, Justin Allgaier, Daniel Hemric, and William Byron. The fun day did not end at the track though! In the afternoon, Selah and her family headed to SeaLife Aquarium for an afternoon of fun followed by a delicious meal hosted by Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar.
After her busy day on Saturday, Selah kept the momentum going with another day at track! She was able to meet and spend some time with drivers Joey Logano and Aric Almirola. She got the opportunity to attend the Cup Series Drivers Meeting as well as walk out for Driver Introductions with Joey Logano. After Driver Introductions, Selah and the team headed back to the condo to get ready to watch the Roval 400. The whole team had a pizza party in the condo to celebrate the last day of the dream experience. Papa Murphy’s provided take and bake pizzas for everyone to enjoy while watching the race. When the race ended at 6 pm, Selah was exhausted from all of the fun and it was time to head out. She went home with a full heart and memories that will last a lifetime!
