Charlotte, North Carolina’s Lockton chapter wanted to support a local non-profit organization this year. Producer, Sean Snell, presented Dream On 3’s mission to our “Best Places to Work” Committee and we immediately knew we wanted to help make dreams come true! The Best Places to Work Committee coordinates volunteer and service efforts within Lockton and we were so excited to commit to raise money for one recipient. Dream On 3 matched us with Noah Hall, an amazing little boy whose dream was to go to Pittsburgh to visit the Steelers.
Our office came together over the summer to fundraise through a number of activities including Jean Mondays, a Pancake Breakfast, and raffling off of Vacation Days. Our big finale was Lockton’s Inaugural Dream On 3 Cornhole Tournament at Legion Brewing in SouthPark. Noah and his family were present for the exciting event, along with many of our insurance carrier partners. With the help of the Lockton Cares Foundation, our office’s fundraising efforts, and sponsorship from Charlotte’s insurance community, Lockton Charlotte was able to present a much bigger check than planned to Dream On 3. Not only did we raise enough money to make Noah’s wish come true, but we raised enough money to fund two additional wishes – that’s $22,500!
Thanks to the generosity of our community we look forward to being part of other Dream recipients’ reveals and send-offs! After this wonderful experience, Lockton Charlotte is excited to continue the partnership with Dream On 3. Our associates and carrier partners are already planning fundraising efforts for next year in order to continue making dreams come true in the Queen City!
