It is with a gratefulness, sadness, and excitement that I write this blog today. Gratefulness for the opportunity I have had to work with this amazing organization, sadness to be leaving it, and excitement as I start the next chapter of my life with a new career endeavor.
Dream On 3, an idea born to bring joy to the lives of children who are dealing with struggles that most of us will never know. When asked to join the team almost 2 years ago, I jumped at the chance. Not only would I get to work with some of my dearest and longtime friends, the Lindsey’s, but I would get the chance to help make an impact in my community. Little did I know, that it was me who would be impacted the most.
I can’t begin to express how much this organization has meant to me. I have seen strength, grace, character, and faith personified through all of these amazing dream kids and their families. I have been inspired through their fearlessness, gained faith through their faithfulness, become softer through their sweet spirits, and learned what true strength means. It doesn’t mean being able to lift heavy weights, or being tough enough to hold back tears when you want to cry. It means picking yourself up after getting knocked down time after time, to face the same giant day after day with only a small stone and a slingshot. Strength means living life. Every day. To the fullest. No matter the circumstances.
I will always remember my time at Dream On 3 with a full heart and I will miss you all! Thank you for all you have given me, dream nation. Keep dreaming, keep believing, and keep pounding!
We have been truly blessed to have you as a member of the Dream Team! You will always be a part of the Dream On 3 Family. We wish you the best of luck in your endeavors, and will miss you very much!
