Junior Dream Team’s Colors for Christian

We don’t know about you but we get so excited when we see kids coming together for good. And when that good is to lift up another student at their school…well, it makes it even easier get involved too!

Each year we work with a local high school and a few select students join together to do the very same work we do as Dream On 3 staff. We call them the Junior Dream Team. This year we have been working with the students at Northwest Cabarrus High School, in Concord, NC and it has been an exceptional experience. These kids are planners, fundraisers, and creators. They each bring individual talents to the team and the impact they are having at their school is noticeable, in fact, it’s huge! Take a look at the photo (above) and you will see what we mean. The baseball tees they are wearing say “Hitting for Heavner,” for Christian Heavner, a senior at NWHS. The Jr. Dream team sold shirts to the student body to raise money so Christian can experience his sports dream of seeing the NY Yankees play in Yankee Stadium. powder-run.

Now they are on to their next mission and they are hoping to make the impact even greater, they want to invite the entire community to participate in a “powder run” called Colors for Christian this Saturday, January 14th. Really, who doesn’t love to be dowsed with colorful powder while you run…or walk…with friends for a good cause.
