“No other program in the last 20 years has had the impact on our students like the Jr. Dream Team did!”
Jr. Dream Team – Charlotte, NC
A New Generation Of Emerging Leaders
Our Jr. Dream Team program, founded in 2015, partners with local school districts to select a high school and a group of students to plan a Dream Experience for a fellow student living with special needs.
This program has created an opportunity for a new generation of emerging leaders to make a difference in this world and to bring about positive change in their community. Guided by a faculty advisor and Dream On 3 staff, students learn about fundraising, the nonprofit sector, and teamwork while developing critical character traits such as compassion, generosity, and dependability. These students will lead an entire school, and even an entire community, as they help make a dream come true for one of their fellow classmates.

“There is no doubt in my mind that Ne’Quan’s dream was life-changing; not only for him, but for me as well. Coming into this experience, I’d already been exposed to clubs and organizations that required leadership abilities, and I assumed that this would be no different. However, as the planning for this dream continued, I realized that this was not just another organization to showcase the strengths of leadership. Dream On 3 humbled me greatly, and allowed me to experience true teamwork through a caring group of students who wanted to make a difference.”

“Watching Tyler’s dream unfold has been the most memorable moment in my teaching career. I was overwhelmed at the outpouring support from the community and the regular ed students from our school. I enjoyed being able to work with regular ed students to build a dream, come up with fundraising activities and execute them. I never get this opportunity since I am in my classroom all day. It taught me a lot about non-profit organizations and how to oversee a team, assign positions and bring a community and school together for a cause. Wes I am so blessed to be have been given this opportunity and hope one day I can help out on another project with them through volunteering.”
